I'm Back....

Well, I think I am just about back on track. I was on vacation from work all last week…and boy can that throw your schedule off. We did have a great Holiday week! Monday Jasmine’s class had a field trip that I was able to go on. We went Downtown and visited the Post Office, City Hall, the Police Station, the Fire Station and made a stop at the Donut Shop for a mid-morning snack. It was a lot of fun.

Thursday everyone came to our house for a Thanksgiving meal. We had such a great time eating, talking, watching football and scowering through the sale papers for Black Friday. The kids played and played and played some more. When it was time for bed Jasmine climbed into bed and said ‘Mommy, it was a wonderful day’. It most definitely was, we have so much to be Thankful for.

Friday I was up and on the road by 4:30am. I met Gramma and my beautiful cousin Holly at 5:00am @ Kohl’s. We had so much fun shopping, we hit all the good sales. Kohl’s, Home Depot, Target, Macy’s, Linen’s & Things, BedBath&Beyond, Office Max & Wal*Mart. I am happy to say I only have about five gifts left to buy….now I have to start wrapping, Yuk! I made it home from shopping around noon and brought home lunch for the family (a tradition). After lunch Cash went down for a nap and Jasmine and I put up the Christmas tree. We received a pre-lit tree for Christmas last year and let me tell you, it is so awesome to just plug in your tree—makes a world of difference. Love it, thank you Grandpa!

Speaking of Grandpa, Saturday we spent the day in Granbury visiting with Grandpa & Grandmommy Kotter. We had a great visit and the kids had fun playing with their cousins Ethan and Emma.

We have been so busy, but thankful for every moment we have.

More Wiggles

Yesterday when I picked up the kids and got everyone situated, I turned up the radio a little. Cash said, 'No Mommy, no. Giggles.' He wanted to listen to a Wiggles CD. I love when they get to the age when they can start telling you what they want. Priceless!

There’s something in the air….

Well something is in the air and it has Joe and the kids hyped up on Zyrtec and Benadryl. Poor Cash was up most of the night, which is very unusual for him. Ever since I can remember he has been in bed by 8pm and slept all through the night. About 12:30 last night, I was having this ‘dream’ that he was lying next to me and I was trying to comfort him and get him to sleep. Then I woke up and realized he was really there! I got up and gave him a drink and laid him in his bed, which didn’t last long at all. I then attempted to lay down with him in his toddler bed, this worked out pretty good until I tried to get up. As I, not so gracefully, get out of his bed, he wakes back up and follows me to my bed. I laid him next to me, but since he has never slept with anybody, he has a hard time getting comfortable and moves constantly. Finally around 3:00am he passed back out and was not at all happy when I got him up to go this morning.

Please pray for my little one. Hate seeing him suffer.

We have been busy…

Saturday was Jasmine’s last soccer game this season and Cash’s 2nd birthday party. We had such a good day. Grandpa Kotter came down and spent the whole day with us. What a treat, we all Love spending time with Grandpa.

Cash’s birthday party was a big success. We had brisket, cake and ice cream with lots of family and friends. **I will post pictures as soon as I can, my digital camera broke and we are using disposables, in hopes Santa brings a NEW digital camera this year**.

Last night was Jasmine’s awards ceremony for soccer where they received a cute bag and a trophy. They had a great entertainer for the kids named Keith Coast, http://www.forhiskidz.com/ministry_detail.asp?id=29 (be sure and scroll all the way down on the web page and see him INSIDE the balloon, lots of fun to watch & a GREAT message). When we got home Jasmine went straight to her room and put the trophy on her dresser. She is very proud of it…and rightly so she drank lots of Gatorade and climbed many a soccer net - I think she actually played in two games. Maybe next season she will be a little more interested. If not, that is fine too, as long as she has fun!

Soccer and Wiggles

Thursday night is usually soccer practice, but since time change last weekend and Saturday being our last game, the team went to Joe Willey’s for burgers and shakes. We had such a good time and enjoyed some great food. As with any out-to-eat adventure with a 2 & 4 year old, we were very busy. Especially since we had seven families w/ a 4-5 year old girl and several siblings. The girls enjoyed each other and we (the parents) enjoyed watching them interact.

We have rented the movie Monster House and the kids really enjoy watching it. Cash even sat down on the couch w/ me and Jasmine, instead of his usual ‘Giggles’ (The Wiggles). He is so obsessed with the Wiggles. Right now we have two shirts and they are both big on him, so I let him wear them for bed. In the morning he gets so upset when we take it off. Sometimes we even have to carry it to the van with us when we leave.
